Accessory Apartment Review Board approves multiple renewals and transfers by affidavit; reserve calendar case cleared

At its meeting the Accessory Apartment Review Board approved renewals by affidavit for a series of accessory apartment filings and accepted two affidavits of transfer; it also approved a reserve‑calendar application after staff clarified ownership and kitchen status for the property.

A staff member presented renewals by affidavit for numerous properties (the transcript lists items numbered 1 through 34 by address). For each listed renewal the board recorded a motion and a second and the board voice‑voted in the affirmative. The transcript shows motions made and seconded by multiple board members including Lamont, Stephanie, Carolyn Begona, Pete (Peter DeNagris), Keith and others.

The board also accepted two affidavits of transfer: Sheen (40 Riviera Parkway, Lindenhurst) and Michici (138 Burlington Avenue, Deer Park). Motions to approve the transfers were moved and seconded (motion by Carey, seconded by Lamont is recorded for one transfer) and carried by voice vote.

On the reserve calendar, item number 3 (Cuero’s, 765 Catskill Avenue) drew a brief clarification from staff: the applicant acknowledged ownership interest in another property at 260 Florida Avenue but staff said that second property does not contain a second kitchen. Following that clarification the board approved the reserve‑calendar application (motion recorded as moved by Harold and seconded by Pete).

The transcript records no votes against these approvals and no supplemental conditions recorded in the meeting minutes. The board also moved to accept minutes from the June 17, 2025 meeting and then adjourned.
