The Middle Country Central School District Board of Education approved the organizational consent agenda at its July 8 meeting, carrying motions that accepted minutes, several memoranda of agreement and contracts and put new or revised policies on first reading.
Items approved under the consent agenda included minutes from the June 11 regular meeting and a June 25 special meeting; memoranda of agreement covering a retirement waiver and administrators association matters; and universal pre‑K contracts for the 2025–26 school year. The board recorded that motions carried on the consent agenda items.
The board also conducted the first reading of new and revised district policies related to students and personal electronic devices, procedures for extreme heat days and revisions to the district’s harassment-of-students policy. The board voted to waive a second reading and carry the waiver motion. No substantive policy text was read into the meeting record during the first reading.
Board members asked no substantive questions on the consent items during the meeting and the motions were recorded as carried.
