Council members and staff said the city previously obtained a summary-judgment ruling in its favor on demolition but that the ruling was partially narrowed on appeal and the case now requires additional proceedings to resolve property valuation. "We prevailed on a summary judgment motion for Old Town for the demolition," said Corporation Counsel, adding the appellate court remanded a narrow issue about property value for trial.
