Seaford council approves mayor's committee appointments

Seaford Mayor and Council on July 8 unanimously approved Mayor Matt McCoy's recommendations for committee and advisory-board appointments, covering economic development, parks and recreation, police advisory, planning and other committees.
At the meeting McCoy read a list of appointees included in council packets. The economic development committee includes Vice Mayor Dan Henderson as chair, City Manager Charles Anderson, Tristan Newcomer and Judy Johnson. The police chief's advisory board roster named Vice Mayor Dan Henderson as chair and listed community members including Debbie Hall and Pastor Kim McGill. Parks and recreation will be chaired by Councilwoman Stephanie Grasset, the mayor said.
Councilman Orlando Holland moved to approve the recommendations; Councilman Mike Bradley seconded. The motion passed by unanimous voice vote. After the vote Mayor McCoy thanked the volunteers and council members serving as committee chairs and said their work is "vital to this community and this city."
