Atoka municipal bodies approve wastewater equipment grants and contractor pay application

At the municipal authority meeting, trustees approved a request authorizing the chairman to sign grant documents if the municipality is awarded a RIG grant to purchase a replacement truck for the wastewater supervisor, two replacement lift-station pumps for the main lift station and two replacement pumps for the Bonner Lift Station. The quotes total $122,401; the RIG regrant would be $98,970, leaving the authority responsible for $24,480.20 if the grant is awarded.
Both the City Council and the Atoka Municipal Authority approved Pay Application No. 7 to HCCCO in the amount of $129,200. The council record states that $64,600 will be reimbursed by a CDBG headworks grant and the remaining 50% will be paid by the Harper grant or, in another instance on the municipal authority agenda, $64,600 was described as reimbursed by an ARPA headworks grant and 50% by CDBG; staff did not resolve the differing grant labels on the record at the meeting.
Council and authority members voted unanimously to approve the payments and the authorization to pursue the RIG grant; staff said funds will be tracked through the identified grants and that the municipal authority will be responsible for the local match if the RIG award comes through.
