Redmond announces Signature Summer Festival, children's vehicle event and waste-mobile dates

The City of Redmond promoted several upcoming events in its City News Now segment, including the Redmond Signature Summer Festival, a family vehicles event for children and the return of King County’s traveling waste mobile.
The city said the Signature Summer Festival returns Friday and Saturday with live performances on the main stage presented by Microsoft and a drone light show on Saturday night sponsored by Amazon. The city encouraged viewers to watch the "Here in Redmond" video for full details.
Families with children ages 1 through 10 were invited to sign up for a hands-on vehicles event on Friday, Aug. 15, featuring trucks, tractors, construction equipment and other community-serving vehicles.
King County’s traveling waste mobile will be in Redmond July 18–20 at the Home Depot parking lot, the city said, and residents may bring paint thinner, fluorescent lights, pesticides, car batteries and other household hazardous wastes for free, safe disposal.
