Board members opened a public hearing on the budget and received no public comments before closing the hearing and returning to the agenda item for the vote. Earlier in the meeting the board also approved consent agenda items 1 and 2 by unanimous vote.
Supervisor Crosby (District 1), Supervisor Gomez (District 2), and Supervisor Antonori (District 3) were present in person; the meeting notice said members could attend via Microsoft Teams and that the board may recess into executive session for legal advice under Arizona law (ARS 38-431.03(A)(3)). There was no substantive debate recorded on the budget item during the meeting.
The board adjourned the Cochise County Jail District meeting and noted the next meeting will be a special board meeting of the Board of Supervisors.
