The juvenile committee reported a product income balance of about $111,000 and a general fund balance of about $197,000, and noted grant funds around $38,000 before year-end adjustments.
Committee staff warned that Department of Corrections (DoC) and DCS grants that end on June 30 will reduce the available balances once final payments are processed. The presenter said outstanding payments will shrink the current balances when the fiscal year closes.
Staff also reported that a DCS grant managed by a local vendor (referred to as Firefly in discussion) had been reduced over time from earlier estimates of $35,000–$40,000 to a current figure of $19,000. The committee described this as another cut to already tightened grant funding.
The juvenile committee said programming and staffing remain under review to ensure effective day-program offerings; no formal motions were recorded on program changes during the meeting.
