The Central Virginia Transportation Authority voted on June 6 to elect leadership that will take office July 1, 2025. The authority approved a motion installing the nominated chair and vice chair; the roll‑call votes recorded members’ affirmative responses.
During the meeting a nomination was placed for “the honorable Claire Wendellson from Marico County” as chair to start July 1; in a subsequent roll‑call vote members indicated aye and the motion carried. The authority then approved Kevin Carroll (Chesterfield County) as vice chair by roll call. Chair Davis announced the officers will assume their duties on July 1 and no additional action will be required at that date.
Members and staff used the election period to offer brief remarks thanking outgoing leaders and welcoming the incoming officers. The authority’s clerk conducted roll‑call votes on each nomination and recorded unanimous approval as shown in the meeting transcript.
