John, a MidAmerican representative, said anchor-bolt cages and excavations are under way in the southwest Page County project area and that “you’re not gonna see any cranes out and about till at least later this month.” He added the company is maintaining haul routes used for deliveries and “laying down additional gravel when it’s needed.”
A county commenter said a resident saw heavy rollers packing gravel on a local route and that the work got muddy after rain. Kelsey, the MidAmerican representative on the call, said the firm would follow up and offered to route communications internally and copy county staff on email updates: “I will…send a few emails and see if we can get some things moving,” she said.
John also described project materials available at the laydown yard, including laminated haul-route maps with safety and speed guidance. He said crews are attempting to apply dust suppression in front of residences and intersections where construction traffic passes.
Board members asked staff to provide the specific address for the observed work so MidAmerican could check whether heavy component deliveries or crane traffic would use that route. The county provided the address 1095 Blue Line Road for follow-up.
Discussion items were recorded; there was no formal board vote tied to the MidAmerican update. County and MidAmerican staff agreed to follow up on resident questions about speed, dog-safety concerns and the use of specific roads for heavy deliveries.
