Ridge High student treasurer reports national speech placements, spring concerts and fundraisers

Ari Brockle, student body treasurer at Ridge High School, delivered the student representative report and highlighted recent competitive and arts achievements and several upcoming school events.
Brockle said Ridge competitors attended the National Individual Events Tournament of Champions, with Ami Singh placing fifth nationally in impromptu speaking and Adalia Cardamuro and Sinead Wong reaching the semifinals. Brockle also praised the cast and crew of the school production of Cinderella and noted other student achievements.
Upcoming events listed by Brockle included a May 20 presentation by a U.S. Marine sergeant on the NROTC scholarship alongside senior William Korzani, a Phantom Spring Concert on May 21 at 7 p.m., a choir concert on June 4 and an orchestra concert on June 11. Auditions for the top chorale ensemble are scheduled for June 9.
Student fundraisers announced included a May 21 donation event at Morrison Road for the Class of 2026, Class of 2027 bake sales, a veterans-club bake sale and toiletry drive, and a Ridge High ski-team clothing drive and car wash on May 31 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Green Team continues a marker-and-pen recycling initiative and student artwork is on display at the Great Swamp Environmental Education Center through May 29.
Brockle also reminded students that enrollment for the 2025 summer financial literacy course is open through June 6 and that schools will be closed May 23, May 26 and May 27 in observance of staff development time and Memorial Day.
