Jessica Skilin, deputy director of general services, told the board that emergency repairs at the Lake Siskiyou campground main store are underway and asked for an extension of emergency authority to get the roof repair scheduled.
Skilin said county facility staff completed mold abatement, electrical work, drywall, painting and trim; flooring is scheduled for installation during the week and a roof‑repair contract is circulating for signatures. She said the new director, Adam, and county staff will meet the concessionaire Thursday to inspect repairs and introduce county staff.
The deputy director said the abatement was non‑toxic and the store remained open during the remediation, including a busy weekend. The board moved to approve the requested extension and recorded unanimous support.
Nut graf: The action preserves operations at the Lake Siskiyou campground store while county facilities staff complete interior repairs and arrange a contractor for the damaged roof.
