Plumas County's Community Corrections Partnership on June 18 reviewed preliminary budget requests for fiscal year 2025'26 and asked staff to correct and reconcile submitted figures before finalizing recommendations.
Miguel, county staff who prepares CCP financial summaries, told the committee he reviewed RFP submissions and identified discrepancies in one provider's ASP submission and that his recalculation showed the award at the bottom of operating expenses was about $20,800 lower than the applicant's listed total. "I noticed in particular, ASP submission was slightly off and I punched in all the numbers. I want to say it was about like $20,800 off," Miguel said.
Members discussed that most participants had submitted rollover budgets consistent with the prior year and that the county is still awaiting formal state notice of the FY25'26 award amount. Committee members said they were relying on existing figures for planning: one member said incoming funds were expected to be roughly $1.086 million, with a coming-in fund balance noted verbally as about "$4.53" (participants used the term "about").
The group also flagged a separate rounding or tally issue Miguel described as a "1¢" discrepancy that needs to be corrected. Members agreed that fixing submission math errors and receiving quarter 4 expenditure reports would allow a clearer final budget discussion.
The committee scheduled follow-up work and reconvening for July 16 at 2 p.m. to review corrected submissions, quarter 4 reports, and the Behavioral Health reimbursement question. No formal budget adoption occurred at the June 18 meeting.
