The Village of East Troy Board of Trustees adopted Resolution 2025-O9 to adopt the East Troy Municipal Airport Master Plan and heard a second-quarter operational report from airport manager Doug Nielsen.
A trustee moved to adopt the resolution; the motion received a second and passed by voice vote. Trustees said the airport committee had reviewed the plan and supported adoption.
Doug Nielsen reported typical seasonal maintenance and noted the village removed a back room from an airport building, which staff described as increasing usable space and producing modest rental income. He said a light winter reduced wear on snow equipment, that staff had measured space for future snow equipment purchases, and that mowing has been frequent because recent rain produced fast grass growth.
On operations, Doug said fuel sales had been weaker earlier in the spring — which some contacts attributed to economic uncertainty — but had begun to pick up with improving weather and approaching events such as the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) gatherings. He said fuel demand had increased in recent weeks and he expected positive trends for the rest of the year.
Trustees thanked Doug for timely maintenance work and noted community members had expressed appreciation for airport improvements. The resolution adoption was recorded without roll-call vote in the public minutes.
