A county staff member said Tuesday that the Children's Justice Center project in Weber County is finished, including completion of the final change order and closing the project books.
The project "is not just working for our law enforcement, but we're finished and on we've just, finished the final, change order and that and the books are finished on that Children's Justice Centre," the staff member said. "What a phenomenal facility and what a great resource it is for all the cities in Weber County as we help keep our kids safe, especially when they've had traumatic experiences happen to them."
County officials presented the update during a Weber County Commission recap meeting. The staff member described the center as a shared resource for cities across Weber County and as a facility that supports investigations and services for children who have experienced trauma.
The meeting transcript did not specify the center's operating hours, staffing levels, opening date, construction cost, or funding sources. No formal votes or ordinances related to the center were recorded in the transcript excerpt provided.
