The Hampshire County Commission on June 10 approved three personnel actions that county officials said were the result of recommendations from advisory bodies and department heads.
The commission approved the planning commission's recommendation to hire Jared Hott as the county’s planning director/compliance officer; commissioners thanked the planning commission for its recruitment work, and Mr. Hott was welcomed as starting Thursday. The vote to approve the appointment was moved and seconded and carried by voice vote.
Separately, the commission approved Sheriff’s recommendation to appoint Rachel Timbrook as the new 9‑1‑1 director effective immediately, including salary adjustment associated with the appointment; commissioners moved and seconded the appointment and it passed by voice vote.
Finally, the commission approved reappointing David Parker as the conservation district representative to the Hampshire County Farmland Protection Board for a second term; the board had recommended his renewal and the appointment was approved by voice vote.
Commissioners praised the appointees and the bodies that recommended them and welcomed Jared Hott to the planning office.
