Separately, Councilor Martinez Rubin asked staff to verify AB 762’s status before sending a letter of support; the council later approved a motion directing staff to check whether the measure is still active and to report back. Deputy City Clerk Stone confirmed staff will follow up on the bill’s legislative status and with the council.
