On the Rustic & Chic matter, staff said the Planning Commission’s revocation was appealed to the City Council, which upheld the revocation but granted the business a six‑month wind‑down period so the owner can wrap up operations. Staff said it is coordinating with the owner to manage that wind‑down period.
Commissioners asked whether the property owner has been informed and whether the city could physically secure the premises. Staff answered that the property owner has been notified and that locking the facility or other direct actions would require following legal channels and consultation with the city attorney; code enforcement remains engaged and the city is pursuing administrative and legal remedies as appropriate. No formal motions were made; these were informational staff updates.
