McFarland honors Officer Juan Estrada with promotion to corporal

Chief Knox also cited Estrada’s assistance in an August 2024 homicide investigation and a recent arrest that led to child-exploitation materials being found.
The mayor moved to amend the agenda to add a promotional ceremony; the council approved the agenda amendment by roll call. Chief Knox formally presented the promotion and council members offered congratulatory remarks. Councilor Gutierrez said, “Just congratulations and hopefully, you keep on rising.” Vice Mayor Connell and other councilors also offered praise and thanked Estrada for his service.
