Council adopts ordinance awarding 2025 sidewalk improvement contract to Max Commercial Construction

The Warrensburg City Council adopted an ordinance authorizing the city manager and city clerk to execute a contract agreement with Max Commercial Construction LLC for the 2025 sidewalk improvement program.
Phil Adlidge, interim director of public works, told the council the program is an annual competitive bid process and that the low responsive, qualified bidder was Max Commercial Construction LLC. Adlidge said the program is managed so the city purchases a known quantity of linear feet of sidewalk work until the program reaches the budgeted cap of $130,000.
Adlidge said the contractor work will be monitored by a city project manager and that last year the city used a different contracting structure tied to mill-and-overlay work; separating the sidewalk program this year should allow more linear feet to be completed.
Council moved the ordinance to second reading by title only and then adopted it. The roll-call adoption vote recorded Kushner, Osborne, Latari, Jones and Euler as voting yes.
