Legislative Budget and Audit Committee releases FY 2024 State single audit to agencies for response

The Legislative Budget and Audit Committee voted May 17 to release the preliminary FY 2024 State of Alaska single audit to state agencies for response.
During a meeting called to order at 9:02 a.m., Senator Grama Jackson, chair, moved through routine business and then led the committee into an executive session under Uniform Rule 22(b)(3) for discussion of confidential matters. Following the executive session, Representative Fields moved, “I move that the Legislative Budget and Audit Committee release the FY 24 State of Alaska single audit to agencies for response.” There was no objection and the committee approved the preliminary release.
The action begins the agencies’ formal response period on the FY 2024 single audit, a financial and compliance review covering the state fiscal year. The committee’s chair thanked House Records staff member Sophie Tinney, Legislative Information Office staff member David Monroe, and LBNA staff for support during the meeting.
Committee members present for the roll call and for the release decision included Representative Fields; Representative Foster; Representative Josephson; Representative Kopp; Representative Tilton; Speaker Edgmon; Senator Stedman; Senator Giesel; Senator Murkowski; Senator Kawasaki; and Senator Grama Jackson.
Before adjourning, the committee tentatively scheduled an interim meeting for June 30 in the Anchorage Legislative Information Office to consider the final release of the single audit and the final release of the OCS audit, the preliminary release of four sunset audits, and other committee business. Senator Grama Jackson adjourned the committee at 9:50 a.m.
