Rachel Freeman, a family nurse practitioner and Lehigh resident, said she is running for Lehigh City Council during public comment at a recent city meeting.
Freeman said her background in healthcare and years of volunteer work inform her priorities of preserving what makes Lehigh special while preparing the city for growth. "I'm running for creative solutions," she said.
Freeman told the council she was born and raised in Utah and is a mother of five. She said she volunteers at a free clinic in South Provo that serves uninsured Utah County residents and has worked with local schools, Club V, Northern Utah County Soccer and the Lehigh Legacy Center. She also said she has served three times as a county delegate.
"I'm running for Lehigh City Council because I believe our city deserves leaders who are connected to people, compassionate, and committed to serving," Freeman said. "My background in healthcare has taught me to listen carefully, act with empathy, and advocate boldly when needed. Vote for Rachel Freeman, Lehigh City Council."
She closed her remarks by asking for community support, saying, "I would be honored to earn your support."
