Temple Terrace swears in new city clerk; appoints alternate to code enforcement board

Linda Sater was sworn in as City Clerk of the City of Temple Terrace at the council meeting on July 1. Mayor Andrew Ross administered the oath; Sater told the council she was "very excited to get down here and get started" and that her prior experience was as a deputy county clerk in Olathe, Kansas.
The council also filled a vacancy on the municipal code enforcement board. The city received one application and the council voted to appoint Richard Benyon as an alternate member for a term running from July 1, 2025 to July 1, 2028. The motion to appoint Benyon was moved and seconded; the clerk recorded the vote as unanimous.
Mayor Ross said outgoing city clerk Cheryl Mooney has retired and that Sater has been on the job roughly a week. Council thanked Sater for joining the city's staff and welcomed Benyon for his volunteer service on the code enforcement board.
