The Selma City Council on July 1 approved an update to its mutual aid/reimbursement arrangement with the California Governor—s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) to add additional fire and emergency medical classifications to the city—s reimbursable roster.
The change, discussed at length after the item was pulled from the consent calendar, adds battalion chiefs, an EMS supervisor and single-role paramedics and EMTs to the classification list that the state reimburses when Selma personnel respond to state incidents. Council approved the item by roll-call vote; members present voted yes.
