Lucas County renews notification-system MOUs with Sylvania, township and health department

Lucas County commissioners on June 2 approved memorandums of agreement renewing participation by the city of Sylvania, Sylvania Township and the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department in the county’s mass notification platform.
Abby Buckup of Emergency Services said the MOUs continue partners' access after a platform change and permit residents to enroll at lucascountyalerts.com for both county and partner notifications. The agreements also allow partner organizations internal-use notifications for employees and, in the health department’s case, occasional client messages such as maternal health appointment notices.
Buckup said continuing joint access improves public convenience by letting residents receive both county and local notifications through a single portal. The motions to approve the MOUs were moved, called, and adopted by unanimous roll call.
