After an executive session July 1, the Lucas County Board of Commissioners approved a series of personnel actions presented by Human Resources Director Trent Burner.
Actions included appointment of Kayla Robinson to a full‑time Clerk 2 position in the Child Support Enforcement Agency at $15.63 per hour (CSCA bargaining unit pay grade 16, step 1) and appointment of Christopher Yulee as legal and administrative program manager in Child Support Enforcement at $46.13 per hour (CSCA management pay grade 5). The board approved the addition of two full‑time human resource supervisor positions (NBU pay grade 27), promotions of Janae Miller and Hope Modlin to human resource supervisor positions at $41.73 per hour with 90‑day probationary periods, and the abolishment of two vacant senior personnel positions (NBU pay grade 26).
The county also approved adding a human resource project manager position (MBU pay grade 25) and abolishing a vacant special projects liaison position. The board approved a change in grade for the senior risk manager from MBU 29 to grade 30 to reflect additional supervisory responsibilities; incumbent Diane Robinson’s compensation was set at $51.83 per hour. The employee relations manager position held by Bernina Martin was set at $43.86 per hour due to additional supervisory duties.
The clerk called the roll and Commissioners Cabecki, Gerken and Lopez voted yes to approve the personnel package. Several actions carry standard probationary periods or are subject to collective‑bargaining provisions as noted in the personnel presentations.
