Johnson County Drain Board approves Kingsbridge sections 3 and 4 with four conditions

The Johnson County Drain Board voted July 1 to approve Kingsbridge sections 3 and 4 with four conditions: an outside-engineer approval letter, a 25-foot setback at the outlet with an approved headwall and armoring, a $25,000 bond on the outlet, and 48-hour notice for work within the easement.
“For the record, Greg Cantwell, Johnson County surveyor,” Cantwell said before reading his recommended conditions. “Number 1, contingent upon FERC's final approval letter. Number 2, a 25 foot setback on the outlet with approved headwall and armoring. Number 3, $25,000 bond on the outlet itself. And then the 4, a 48 hour notice of the 4 working in the easement.”
David Marks, engineer of record for Kingsbridge with E3 Companies, presented the subdivision plan and said the developer accepted the contingencies. “We have no we take no issue with, any of the contingencies that that Greg brought up. We're perfectly fine with all of that,” Marks said.
A board member asked whether the 48 hours’ notice excluded weekends and holidays; Cantwell and another board member discussed that contractors often work weekends and that the 48-hour requirement would include weekend work unless otherwise specified.
A motion to approve with the listed conditions was made, seconded and approved by voice vote. The board recorded the motion as approved with no recorded no votes.
The conditions will be included in the approval paperwork and noted in the construction schedule.
