Federal Way council confirms new human resources director; she starts July 16

The Federal Way City Council unanimously confirmed Jessica Neill Hoisen as the city’s new Human Resources director on July 1. The appointment follows a recruitment process led by city staff.
Bridal Davis, the city administrator, presented Hoisen as the top candidate, noting she previously worked in Edmonds, Skagit County, Oak Harbor and Bainbridge Island and “has multiple degrees and is well qualified.” Hoisen addressed the council: “I am very excited to be here… I actually live in this area and I have been commuting to Edmonds to go help Edmonds for many years,” she said, adding she will start with Federal Way on July 16.
Council President Coach Moore moved to confirm the mayor’s appointment; the motion was seconded and the council voted unanimously.
City staff and council members welcomed Hoisen and said they look forward to her work supporting the city’s employees.
