Director Witt reported that the contract follows the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) letting process, which identifies the parent low bidder; the bid figure was about $42,000 less than the GHA engineer’s estimate. Trustees raised a discrepancy between amounts shown in the meeting materials and the action request; staff confirmed the correct contract amount using the IDOT attachment.
After confirmation, Trustee Jamerson moved to approve the contract to Builders Paving LLC for $3,224,492; the motion was seconded and passed on roll call with the trustees voting aye.
Witt said he will provide an updated construction timeline at a future meeting and post project timing and contact information on the village website. No amendments to the contract were made at the meeting.
