A member of the public, Harry Seymour, spoke in favor. Commissioners asked technical questions about snow shedding, panel spacing and fire‑department setbacks; the applicant said the vendor will maintain a 6‑ to 8‑inch gap and avoid placing panel corners over roof valleys. The commission moved and seconded a motion to approve the installation "as presented." The motion passed by unanimous voice vote.
The approval is subject to the usual building permit process, meter location confirmation with the utility and staff review of any changes to conduit routing or equipment placement. The commission noted it expects the applicant to notify staff if routing cannot be fully concealed inside the structure.
