At the July 1 meeting, the South Colonie Central School District Board of Education opened two public hearings and invited comments for 30 days on the proposed 2025–26 Code of Conduct (policy 5300) and the districtwide school safety plan.
Superintendent Dr. Carey announced that public comment for both items will be open for 30 days and directed interested parties to submit comments to the district office. He referenced Commissioner’s Regulation 155.17 in connection with the districtwide school safety plan.
The hearings begin the formal 30-day comment period; the board did not take final action on either item during the meeting and indicated it will consider received comments as it proceeds toward adoption.
