The Columbia County Board of Commissioners unanimously allowed an applicant to withdraw without prejudice a request for a change of conditions at the July 1, 2025 meeting, after staff and commissioners met with the applicant following the item’s postponement at an earlier meeting.
Commissioner Allen said staff and commissioners explained concerns to the applicant, who requested withdrawal without prejudice and indicated plans to resubmit an application to rezone a portion of the land back to RA after reworking the site design.
Why it matters: A withdrawal without prejudice allows the applicant to refile without the withdrawn application prejudicing future review; staff indicated the applicant will submit a revised rezoning application soon.
Ending: The board accepted the withdrawal without prejudice; staff and the applicant expect a revised rezoning filing in the near term.
