At the reorganizational meeting the West Seneca Central School District Board of Education swore in new and returning trustees, elected officers and approved routine appointments and committee assignments.
Zachary Armstrong was sworn in as a new board member. Board member Edmund Began also took the oath of office. The board elected Edmund Began as president by voice vote that passed 7‑0 and selected Marla Greenberg as vice president by roll call vote that passed 7‑0.
The board approved the appointment of the district clerk and the claims auditor; motions recorded in the transcript show those votes passing unanimously when taken. The board approved a consent agenda and multiple personnel and administrative items across agenda sections 7–16; vote tallies were recorded in the transcript for several items and, where noted, included abstentions.
Superintendent Dr. Lisa Krueger recognized newly appointed personnel and welcomed returning members, including Dan Cantafio, who was recognized in the meeting.
Members also assigned delegates and alternates to external organizations and internal committees including the Erie County Association of School Boards, the New York State Association of School Boards voting delegate, the audit committee, budget advisory committee, facilities committee, policy committee, safety committee, special education advisory committee, strategic planning committee and community education committee. Several board members volunteered for specific liaison roles and alternates were named during discussion.
The board ended the public portion of the meeting by voting 7‑0 to enter executive session to discuss a contract and the employment history of a particular person.
No contested personnel or policy votes were recorded during the public session; most actions on the reorganizational calendar were routine confirmations and committee assignments.
