Vector will retain a percentage of collected landing fees as its service fee (5% in year one, 10% in year two and 15% in subsequent years), staff said; the vendor will provide equipment and defer maintenance fees during the first three years to limit upfront costs for the city.
Council members asked whether the data would be shared with state tax authorities; staff said they would follow up on that question. Vector’s camera coverage will include fixed‑wing and helicopter landing pads where applicable, staff said.
The council approved the contract by roll‑call vote after staff described procurement and a selection committee process that weighed experience, proposed equipment and costs.
