The board also recognized staff and dozens of students for awards ranging from county art and regional all‑star recognition to district math-league honors and varsity championships.
Superintendent Dr. Smith framed the night as a capstone to the school year, saying, “this final week of the 2024–25 school year is about celebrating all that has been accomplished since September.” She also reported that the district confirmed 33 hires — 32 certificated — from among 64 vacancies (62 certificated positions) in recent weeks, and thanked the board for support of an additional tax levy that made the hires possible.
