Grundy County finance director says fence for county expansion will be installed; courthouse to become judicial center under planning

He said the overall project includes installation of a project fence, an administrative building remodel and conversion of the courthouse into a judicial center.
Committee discussion was limited to the status update. Melvin described the update as part of routine planning and said departments have been staying on the budget timeline. There were no actions or votes related to the building project at the meeting.
Melvin also noted that departments will continue presentations at scheduled committee meetings; land use was the only department still to present in June. The Finance Committee did not set new dates for construction milestones during the session.
