The Palatine Police Policy and Code Services Committee recommended June 9 that the village council designate and approve a builder for Lot 4 in the Kleiner Re Subdivision, and require completion of an outstanding sidewalk extension on Palatine Road.
Staff described the project as a reinstatement of an existing planned unit development approved in February 2005. Two of the four platted lots had previously been developed; the developer now seeks recognition as the builder for the remaining easterly lot and will be required to finish the remaining public improvements, chiefly a sidewalk extension on Palatine Road to close an existing gap.
Staff said the developer’s preliminary architectural plans comply with the plan-development requirements and applicable bulk standards and setbacks. The committee approved the recommendation and the item will be added to the full council consent agenda.
The presenter noted this action memorializes the developer’s status under the plan development and ensures the sidewalk and any outstanding public improvements required by the 2005 subdivision approval will be installed.
