Hillgrove Tap owner Chris Elsey told the Village of Tinley Park Board of Trustees on July 1 that the restaurant’s second location in Tinley Park—at 9501 West 170th Street—has been operating nearly three years and drawing steady community business.
Elsey said Hillgrove Tap offers “scratch, upscale bar food,” rotating cocktails and about 30 beers on tap. He told trustees the party room seats about 50 and the patio seats “about 80 to a 100,” and that the restaurant has hosted events including communions, bridal showers and rehearsal dinners.
The business credited the village’s Ale Trail program with a notable bump in mid‑week traffic. “It’s about 30 to 35% increase in sales because of the Ale Trail,” Elsey told the board. He also described expanding weekend brunch buffets around holidays and special‑event weekends.
The Hillgrove presentation was part of the board’s regular “Business Spotlight” segment, introduced by President Glotz and Clerk O’Connor. No formal action or request for funding accompanied the presentation; the segment served to highlight a local business and its engagement with Tinley Park’s community programs.
Elsey closed by thanking village officials and residents for support as the business has grown in Tinley Park.
The village board then moved on to its consent agenda and subsequent business.
