County Auditor Allison McCoy explained the airport had received a grant (approximately $26,000) for a purchase made in 2024 and had incurred demolition costs of about $14,800; because of the grant and existing funds the net adjustment needed in the county budget is $11,800.
The council held the required public hearing; no members of the public spoke. Councilman Ty Hoffman moved to open the public hearing and later moved to close it; Councilman Eric Stromberg seconded motions during the hearing process. Councilman Kendall Thomas moved to adopt the resolution; Councilman Hoffman seconded. The council voted in favor and the resolution passed.
Officials said the adjustment was an accounting action to reflect grant revenue and demolition expenses and that the county financial system will record the appropriation consistent with the grant and expenditures previously incurred.
