Adams County vision-plan outreach underway; current-conditions report due soon

Staff explained the vision plan and the comprehensive land-use plan will be separate documents: the comprehensive plan remains the statutory guiding document for zoning and land-use decisions, but outcomes from the vision plan could inform later updates to the comprehensive plan.
Staff also said they are working on ways to engage the county—s Amish community, recognizing that outreach methods may need to differ from standard online approaches.
Next steps: commissioners will receive the current-conditions report, staff will continue summer outreach, and the planning team will pursue separate but complementary tracks for the vision plan and any future updates to the comprehensive land-use plan.
