Lewis County schedules July 15 hearing on second 2025 budget amendment

The Lewis County Board of County Commissioners on July 1 approved a notice of hearing for the county's second 2025 budget amendment, scheduling a public hearing for July 15 and setting a written comment deadline of 10 a.m. July 14.
Becky Butler, speaking to resolution 25-176, said the notice "is a notice of hearing for the second budget amendment for 2025" and detailed how written comments can be submitted by mail to 351 Northwest North Street, Chehalis, Washington 98532 or by email to bocc@lewiscountywah.gov with "public comment budget amendment" in the subject line.
The notice lists a revenue increase of $964,536, an expenditure increase of $2,565,533 and a net change in fund balance of $1,600,997. Butler said additional funding notifications received before the July 15 hearing will be noted at the hearing.
The commission voted 3-0 to approve the resolution placing the hearing on the calendar.
