Jeff framed his leadership style around three elements—experience, openness and a “service mentality”—which he described as putting staff and community needs first. He told commissioners he prefers frequent, tailored communication to keep elected officials and staff informed.
The interview continued through a series of operational and policy questions from the board; the session concluded with commissioners reiterating the county’s district differences and thanking Jeff for visiting. “It's definitely a nice trip up,” Jeff said as the meeting wrapped up.
