Norman council elects mayor pro tem, names representatives to regional boards and retirement trusteeship

During the July 2025 organizational meeting, the City of Norman council moved through formal votes to fill internal and external representative roles and a trustee seat.
Mayor Steven Tyler Holman called for nominations for mayor pro tem and for the city’s representatives to regional organizations. The council nominated Council member Peacock as mayor pro tem; a second was recorded and the motion passed unanimously. The council also nominated Mayor Holman as the city’s representative to the Oklahoma Municipal League (OML) with Council member Grant as alternate; that motion passed unanimously.
