Commissioners approved a final payout of $2,237.76 to Jeanne Ostrander for accumulated vacation time effective June 30, 2025, in connection with her retirement. They approved the hiring of Bailey Kateri as a part-time temporary summer help employee at the animal shelter effective June 23. The commission accepted resignations from Kathy Beagle, Alex Ziegler, Caitlin Lamp, Lydia DiBiagio and Ashley Miller; no reasons for the resignations were discussed in open session.
The commission also accepted the resignation of Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Justin Waiter effective July 25, 2025, and authorized advertising for the assistant prosecuting attorney position. Commissioners thanked Waiter for service; meeting remarks described he had worked in the prosecutor's office for about one year. No hiring timeline or candidate qualifications were discussed during the meeting.
