Parks and Recreation Director Jeff Stoddard told the council on July 1 that the Youth Sports Advisory Committee was created in January 2024 and that staff had worked to fill 15 vacancies. He said staff posted openings and received three nominations: Antonio McCray, Michelle McCray and Britney Rodriguez.

Councilmember nominations followed and a motion to appoint the three nominees carried by voice vote. Stoddard recommended appointment of the nominees for two‑year terms. Council provided no additional discussion during the action item.

Stoddard and city staff will follow up on onboarding and schedule the advisory committee’s meetings and assignments.
