He added the city would be responsible for "about $250,000" in soft costs as matching funds if the projects are approved.
Commissioners discussed procedural next steps: removing the DCIP item from the consent agenda so commissioners can amend the request amount during the regular meeting, then taking a separate vote. No formal motion to change the request amount was recorded during the study session. Staff said exact revised dollar amounts would be provided at the regular meeting for a motion and vote.
Why it matters: the DCIP grants would fund infrastructure projects described by staff as a redundant electrical substation upgrade for OG&E and a redundant waterline the city says would aid Vance Air Force Base and municipal water service.
