ALDOT has asked us to provide a utility agreement,” the presenter said.
Council members asked who pays to move lines underground. The presenter said the city is paying to relocate utility lines underground as part of the project, and that one provider—Spire—already has lines underground and will not require the city to pay for relocation. “We're spending money to move their utilities underground. Yes, sir,” the presenter said.
Council members moved and approved each utility agreement by voice vote.
