Monroe Township staff reported to the council June 30 that the 2024 municipal audit returned “relatively clean” with no material weaknesses or deficiencies and that a corrective‑action plan addressing a small interfund transfer balance will be posted for public review.
What staff said: In public comment, a resident asked about the corrective‑action plan. Staff said there are two resolutions: one acknowledging receipt of the 2024 audit and a corrective‑action plan to address leftover interfund transfer balances. “2024 audit came back, relatively clean with, no material weaknesses, no deficiencies. A couple of items left over from last year that we're still working to, to clean up, but not much. And that's what 149A is the corrective action plan to, to just, clean up the balances in our interfund transfers,” staff said.
Public access: The administrator said the corrective‑action plan is available to the public and will be posted on the township website.
Outcome: The council included the acknowledgment and corrective‑action plan on the consent agenda and the consent agenda vote passed later in the meeting.
