Officials described ordinance 062025-017 as an organizational codebook cleanup that removes fee listings from multiple chapters and points readers to Chapter 39 for current fee schedules. Staff said 017 does not create substantive changes to fees. Staff further explained that ordinance 062025-018 reorganizes Chapter 39 so that all fees are in one place; some individual fees may change in a later ordinance, but ordinance 017 itself is intended as a housekeeping measure. “So it is organizational. It puts all of our fees into chapter 39 and remove[s] them from various aspects of the code… It is organizational. It does not create any substantive changes to any of our fees,” staff said.
Resident questions and responses: A resident asked whether fees mentioned in ordinance text would persist in Chapter 39 and whether a separate ordinance would create substantive fee changes; staff confirmed that Chapter 39 will be the single fee chapter and that substantive fee changes were expected to come under a different ordinance.
