Staff recommended piloting EverAlert at Davidson as a district-wide replacement for aging paging systems.
Board members asked about wiring, zone capability and warranty. Staff said the quoted cost reflected wiring, hub/zone modules, classroom displays and installation; each classroom display includes a four-year subscription and the paging (phone) feature is a small annual fee (company-stated range $9.99–$12.49 per year). Staff said there is a one-year warranty on device hardware and included training at no additional cost. The district noted the new phone system previously approved provides limited paging to phone speakers; the EverAlert installation would extend paging and displays throughout classrooms and common areas.
A motion to approve the purchase and installation of the EverAlert system for Davidson Middle Academy was made by Board member Dr. Pomponello, supported by Mr. Sage, and approved by the board with an "aye" vote and no recorded opposition.
